Hello, I am Sophie
I work as a project manager. I’m a parent and an expat residing in Zurich, Switzerland.
A few years back I moved here with my family. What began as a short-term contract gradually became a new chapter of life overseas.
How It All Began
Moving to Switzerland wasn’t part of the long-range plan. Like many international assignments, it started as a job opportunity and soon grew into something far more significant.
The early months were demanding — new systems, new routines, new expectations. Routine tasks felt tougher than they should.
The Adjustment Phase
There was culture shock, uncertainty, and a lot of hands-on learning. Yet gradually, routines took shape. We found places that fit us, met other families, and began building something that felt steady.
Why I Created ClearHollowCode
Most online guidance was either corporate relocation advice or surface-level tourism material. What was missing was an honest, everyday family viewpoint.
This site aims to fill that gap — practical guidance drawn from real life in Switzerland.
